Default Infinity Server: Grinding To A Halt

I don't know whether it is server load or not.... but this has gone so slow that sites are now failing to load.

Anyone else suffering?

I have raised a ticket but no response yet.

They claimed they fixed it... but it is just the same... now I'm getting frustrated.

To say I am unimpressed by support..... understatement of the year.

What is their role exactly? Just to close tickets and fob customers off? It seems that way from here.

I was told the disk partition was full and it was being fixed (oh yeh!). I pressed for an ETA, and they said 2 minutes.

30 mins later, still not fixed. This time they first said it was fine. I told them it wasn't and pointed to the partition.

No prizes for guessing what came next: an ETA of two minutes.

I pointed out that this was what I was told 30 mins ago, and that I knew enough that I wouldn't be fobbed off and just got rid of. The ETA sudenely changed to 20 minutes!!!

By this time the actual ticket had a response saying all was fine! Of course it wasn't... so I sent them the partition stats in response to show it wasn't, and that they hadn't even checked this.

It's totally ridiculous.

If a forum mod actually ever reads this... could I suggest that you escalate to your management? In the long run, offering so-called "support" like this certainly isn't going to do Hostgator any good at all.
