I have several domains on infinity and they seem to be having trouble getting email from outside domains. I have tried sending mail from qwest.com, aol.com, expedia.com, and other domains. But, the messages do not get deliver. The messages do not get bounced either. They just disappear.
I have created a trouble ticket with HG, but there has been no progress on this issue. I update the ticket with anything new that I get, and I get repsonses like, "Please try now." My clients are not at all please. I am getting no information from HG about what they are doing (if anything). This has been frustrating. |

UPDATE
After a couple days of dealing with HG support, it is still a problem. I am not sure all what the support admins have done, but one thing they did do is set the default email address. I did not have a default email address set before, and it was working this way for the last year and a half. But, the support admin changed it. This did not change the problem of email not working. The HG abuse team then suspended this domain because the default address that was set seemed to be causing a high server load. A quick summary - I opened a ticket because of email issues. Support made some changes that did not fix the problem. Abuse suspended the domain for the changes support made. In the middle of all this, I found the the DNS MX record was changed to gmail.com. The support admins seem unwilling to check the logs to see when and how and who made this change. |

I am going into the 4th day with email problems. HG seems unwilling to try to fix the problem. The response I got yesterday was that and admin is "checking into this."
It really should not take 4 days to get email working. It should take a few minutes of an admin actually checking into the issue and then changing whatever needs to be changed. I am very disappointed in HG support.

RESOLVED
HG claims that about 4 days ago, my domain was attacked by some sort of email thing. HG changed the MX record to stop the problem. But, they did not notify me. And, the HG Support admins seemed to have no knowledge of this either. When I opened the trouble ticket, HG support was unable to help. Eventually the HG Abuse admins got involved and things were resolved. I am not sure what they did to stop the email attack, but the MX record has been set back to the proper server. All in all, 4 days without email seems to be too long to wait for resolving problems. |
