My first website ... some urgent questions ... where do I upload index.html?
I put this file in ftp root, no change. I put in www director , no change. Finaly I put in public_html, it work but only when I go to www.mydomain.com/index.html. It doesn`t work on www.mydomain.com. In www.mydomain.com is stil hostgator welcome page. Please help me.

Make sure you have removed hostgators index file then upload yours.. it could also be that your domain is still propagating.

It`s less then 24 houres of propaganting. Where is located hostgator html files? What are that other files from my ftp? For subdomains I can use the same ftp mainsite account?

The default Hostgator index page would be inside your public_html folder. If the DNS has propagated and you're still seeing the default index, (after loading yours), it may well be a cache issue. Try clearing your browser cache and then reload the site.
