Well, to my surprise I feel a little led on by the sales dept. I purchased the business plan at 2:15 today and requested my plan to be canceled at 2:40 - did I set a new record? lol..
Before purchasing my plan I spoke with three different sales people on your chat system and was made to believe I would get all of my domains transfered for free, along with databases and files, etc..! Not the case as I found out. I'm not trying to blame anyone, I should've read the plan more carefully, but also, the sales dept should also know what there selling. When chatting with the hostgator sales dept. I clearly stated what plan I wanted to purchase and how many domains and databases I needed transfered. |

Good morning,
I'm sorry to see you are having issues with our sales department. Can you PM me any tickets/chat Ids that you had so that I can review what is going on? Files for the domains should be transferred free of charge, the first domain transfer should be free (moving registrars).

Instead of using the chat system, I've decided to just call Hostgator support personally. I must say I'm really impressed with the professionalism they had with me over the phone!!! They also helped me cancel the ticket I had open for cancellation. However, I'm still stuck with only receiving one domain transfer.. Which is fine, like I said earlier, I should've read the fine print for myself. The support tech also explained to me how to transfer files and what to look out for when transferring etc.. Needless to say, I've got just about all of my domain transfers done and I'm very happy with the support. Not only for that, I'm happy that when I called, I actually spoke with someone from the US -- not from some 3rd world country with an accent I can't understand!!! Very Happy Customer Hostgator!!! Thank you!! |

No need to apologize, you guys/girls, have awesome support one can't run away from!!! I've researched hosting providers for quite a while and couldn't find anyone better!! I'm really excited about the Cpanel at Hostgator-- so organized and easy to navigate! Coming from 1and1, it's a night and day difference!! There tech support over at 1and1 reminds me of the show "outsourced" lol... I'm just really happy I gave Hostgator support a phone call -- what a relief to speak with a native person!!! --- For anyone having doubts about hostgator - DON'T!!! Give them a call, they really are there to help and they actually know what they're talking about!!! If you're having speed issues with your current hosting provider like I was-- switch to hostgator NOW! In my experience so far, my sites on average gained 3 seconds in loading speed! That's huge in this day and age!!! I'm running Joomla and Wordpress, so I'm assuming there servers are optimized for heavy processes that are frequent with a CMS... Once again, my hats off to Hostgator and their support! |
