If members can't reply, don't show the thread

I was just reading through a long thread on HG reviews. Hmm, I read through the long thread, concieved some thoughts, and hit reply -- to my dismay I wasn't authorized to reply.

Suggestion : When members have access to the forums, and can't reply to a thread, well, have a notice that the thread is locked or just don't display the thread at all.

Wastes everyones time.

When you click "reply" it clearly says you're not able to reply. Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of the reviews section if it was hidden from people just because they couldn't reply?
