Hi. These question may have been asked before, sorry if they have. I'm new to Web Hosting, though I have some experience in Web Development, so I'm not sure if these things are possible on the Host Gator service. Would I be able to set up, with sub domains, a forum and a MediaWiki? As well as having those two features, I'd also like to know if I could run a small IRC server, though that's not a necessity.

You need to visit the TOS, its at the bottom of the pages. IRC is not allowed, but the rest should be fairly easy to setup.
