First, the bonus question: how do I get access to the Peer Support Forums? I'm registered, and I followd the activation link, but I still can't see them when I log in. It's been a little over 48 hours, I think. Which is the reason I am asking the following question in Pre-sales:
I want to password protect folders with .htaccess. When I click on the "Password Protect Directories" button, I get the warning message about FP extensions being enabled. But when I click on the FP Extensions icon, there's nothing I can do except disable them. Is that OK to do? What are the FP Extensions doing (I have no idea what FP is)? Is there a reason this is enabled by default? What would I lose by disabling? Thanks for any help.

That simple, eh? Good. I'm kind of a n00b, so I didn't know if they were being used for some important stuff I didn't understand.
![]() Why does HG have them enabled by default? Do that many people really use FP to publish? Thank you for your reply. |
