Default Hosting Redundancy

Hi:

I would like to implement redundancy for my account, basically what I need is the same account name in two different servers.

Using the Cpanel/Backup I would hgenerate a Full Backup.
(Rsync could be used to syncronize, minimizing badnwidth and server load.)

In case of Failure HG Support will be needed for:
Apply the Full Backup on the "other" server
Change the DNS for all my domains, so they will point to the "other" server

Doing this on two different Hosting providers will take my site off-line until DNS is propagated.

If everythiong is on HG network propagation may be inmidiatly as the DNS Servers for my accounts won't change.

Of course for all of this two different "Account" or Host plans will be needed.

In may case have one "userName" and another "bkUserName"won't be a mayor issue.

Any Idea or sugestion?

Thanks in advance

They will do that for $15 http://hostgator.com/restore.php

HG can only do that if you order the domains with them

They might as HG make use of all theplanet.com's datacenters

It will... the cpbackups are username specific
