Hosting Question

Hi, I been looking at hostgator web hosting plans for a while now and I was wondering how I can host my friends. Will they recieve there own control panel, there own ftp, or will I have to give them my password and then they can upload there site?

I assume you are asking about our reseller plans. You will have a control panel that lets you create control panels. After you setup their control panel they adminster everything such as their ftp accounts, emails, and passwords. So it is completley separate other then you being able to login as well.

Well I was referring to the share hosting plans. Am I still allowed to do the same for share hosting plans? Sorry for not giving more details on the earlier post.

If you are going to be hosting friends I reccomend the reseller plan they start at $24.95 a month click resellers on top.

On regular shared hosting plans their is only one cpanel for everyone. You can make many ftp accounts but if they want access to cpanel they can only use your password.

I also have a question on this subject... Before I switch from a shared plan to a reseller plan I want to know this... Do I have to charge my friend for webhosting or is it up to me on the prices or no prices... if u could please tell me i would appreciate it.. Thnx

You decide the plans and pricing. You can allocate a package just for your friend, you can decided how much, or whether to charge him or not.
