Default Hosting multiple websites

Hey fellas hows it going yesterday I ordered the Baby Croc plan and I'm pretty sure I could host multiple websites with that plan but now I'm not 100% sure so my first question would be can I have multiple sites with that plan.

If I can do anyone know how to go about setting up multiple websites because I've been messing around with it for a couple hours now and I have no idea how to do it.

Thanks

You're mistaking the unlimited domains HG offers for that package...

what that means is you can have multible urls...
yourdomain1.com
yourdomain2.com
all pointing to the same web site you have.

If you want multiple websites you'll have to set up domain forwarders or upgrade to a reseller package.

Yes you can host multiple websites. They will be sub folders inside your webspace and are called add-on domains. You can find the instructions in HG's support center for add-on domains.
They can all be accessed by the domain name

You can find the instructions here along with a link to a video tutorial

Heres a link to help you...
http://www.hostgator.com/tutorials/x...kin2_addon.swf

This will allow your other domains to appear as seperate websites.

But I'm not too sure about it as I started wth reseller.

If you're creating a website for a client you wont have a cpanel or allow them to manage anything on their own, you'll have to do it all.

Then I would like to suggest politely that you refrain from providing misleading answers to questions about other plans, such as your first post in this thread.

fact is that you will have multiple url.. each with own websites.
use the cpanel > addon domain > to add new domain name (website)

Yes, my mistake. I was thinking he would want it with additional accounts like in the reseller packs.

Question Re: Hosting multiple websites

Hi
Can anyone tell me if I've done something wrong with adding my domain or if I need to have support fix something on their end. I have followed the easy instructions to "addon domains" in attempt to add two more domains to my account. I have the business account. I currently have one site working, now the other two domains that I'm adding are completely unrelated to eachother and my first site. When I type the domain address in the address bar I get a white page with a link to something called "cgi bin". What the heck do I do wrong here because I seem to remember that when I set up my first site I had the same problem, although I can't remember if I fixed it under the forums advice or if I contacted support to have it fixed. If anybody knows how I can fix this I would really appreciate it, rather than having to contact support yet.
Thanks!

cdnbride, instead of digging up this several-years-old thread in the pre-sales questions, you should have started your own thead to ask this in the Shared Hosting category. I'm going to do it for you.

That means it's working as it should. Once you upload an index.html file (your homepage) it will display.

Since David has answered the question while I was creating the other thread, I just deleted it.
