It's not allowed unless you purchase a dedicated server, mainly because it takes up too many resources.

and if you use to much resources it get suspended automatic,

so Why not allowing it on own risk?

Was planning on building a small game with a friend,
When it starts to become populair then hosting on dedicated server

else i must find a temp host for the game, but it sucks because i like hostgator,

I would recommend just following the rules. Of course you can try to bend them, but we choose our rules to protect the server, and to protect all users on the machines. Our experience has shown RPG/MUDs have consistently caused server problems, so we do not allow them.

RPG's will use too much resources as stated above. It would result in poor service to other members.

DDos can always happend if you got a good site or a bad site,
