Default Hostgator UK

I think hostgator is now big enough to be able to open a sister company here in the UK and have a hosting system here, or should i say i would like to see that happen as would allot of your customers.

I think this would be of great benefit to Hostgator, as we are really lacking this type of hosting here, I have lost hundreds of pound on UK hosting due to their poor performance and reliability.

Come on over and take chance, I am sure you could do it.

Agreed. I <3 HG, I even recently upgraded

Having a UK Centre would be awesome, and possibly be some good competition.

This might be something we will do in the future. We have a test box in Amsterdam. Could you let me know what kind of ping times you get from the UK?

Try pinging 159.253.147.4, and let me know what the results are!

That is pretty good. The 149ms reply must have been from that IP over PG Tips causing issues lol.

Im a freelancer and most of my cleints are from UK. They always require web hosting but they preffer UK Servers for SEO point. So i used Uk2.net but never satisfied with thier customer support. So i guess it will be great if Hostgator Starts in UK and setup Datacenter here.

Im already HG Reseller, but problem is UK clients dont like USA datacenters.

HG may already be a big company, but not to big to have a sister company in UK. There is a big market when it comes to web hosting and there are a lot of hosting services that could do better depending on your location.

I would also like to see HostGator expand their services to the UK at some point. I live there myself and would immediately move/change servers to a more local one.

Having said that, I have no complaints about my current situation, as my website loads quickly on an American server anyway.

I'd sign up for it if they offered it. I won't drop my reseller account here, but I'm looking to put some sites up internationally to better-reach those markets.

I just recently re-discovered the frustration in trying to find a new hosting company. I've had my current account for 7 years with Hostgator, but now I'm trying to branch out... It'd make my search a lot easier if Hostgator offered reseller services in the UK.

Damm good idea IMHO the UK market is crying out for a serious heavyweight hosting provider with its own independant hardware (& local based customer support ) as opposed to the plethora of small time resellers piggybacked off the fasthosts datacenter.

PS: no offence intended to any lone individual trading as a hosting reseller but the web does not sleep but you have to do sometime.
