HostGator Reseller and cutom name server

If I buy a Host Gator reseller account, can I use custom name servers on my own domain?

For instnace, my domain is: www.mydomain.com

I have set up custom name servers (ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.myd...)

Will I be able o use these name servers on my own domain, or only on the domains I host.

ie.
mydomain.com dns entries would be: ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomai.com

or do I have to use the ones hostgator provided me? (ns1.hostgator...)

Yes, resellers can set up custom nameservers and can use them for any domain on their account (i.e., supply them to their own customers to use, too).

(Resellers are assigned nsXXX.websitewelcome.com instead of nsXXX.hostgator.com, which they can use if they don't want to register their custom ones.)
