Default Hostgator - Making a new website, need some questions answered...

Hey i want to make a new website for the first time... But i don't really understand about bandwidth etc.
What does it mean by unlimited bandwidth? (Does it mean i can get unlimited pictures, videos from youtube, imageshack etc...?)

What's disk space? (You can publish unlimited texts on your website?)

Domain's allowed?? (I'm also going to get a domain for $15.00 but some deals say unlimited domain's which i don't understand?)

What's Free dedicated ip?

What's Free Private SSL?

What's Addon / Parked Domains?

What's Anonymous FTP?

What's Sub Domains?

What's FTP Accounts?

There's lots of more questions i want to ask But these are the major things i want to know about... Also i would like to upload 'movies, game folders, videos, music, pictures etc...' myself without using things like youtube, imageshack etc... how would i be able to do this and which plan will i need for this to work?

Thank you (also i have asked the live chat and they did answer, it really helped but i would like to know more...)

It would take me half an hour to "quickly" answer your 10 questions.

The knowledge base / google will help you with understanding the terminology better.

Eza-- have you tried clicking the little blue question marks to the left of those features to see an explanation? It will work on most of them (not the domain ones).

You can upload files using an FTP client like Filezilla (free), or many others.

http://filezilla-project.org/

Naturally you can only host legal content, non copyrighted content and suitable content you own or have the rights to. See the TOS link for more info.

Yes, you can set things up so that users can download files from your site. There are a number of scripts that can be used available at hotscripts.com and similar sites. The servers here are linux servers and there are many php scripts available to do a variety of tasks. Scripts such as Gallery2 or Coppermine can be used to upload photos.

It is important to read through the Terms of Service to see what is allowed. While possible to upload the quantity of files you mentioned it is impossible to say whether you could do so without using too many server resources.
