Lol no I spelt it wrong twice

. I haven't been quite with it today making silly spelling mistakes and filling out paper work wrongly, probably a lack of sleep...

Hi All,

I'd like to put my 2 cents forth.

As a designer(or any professional for that matter), I will go where I get paid enough for my work. That "enough" varies for each individual for various reasons. If I am not being paid properly I will not participate. The initial logo I presented was a 1 hour job just to get the ball rolling. I have a few more coming up in 2-3 days time, most likely the weekend. The long time is not because it is a "side business for me/hobby" or the work is on a "back burner" but because creating a genuine logo needs indepth thinking and sometime takes two months, at other times 2 seconds. The logo must speak the philosophy of the owner and company, ideally. However, in the present case we have a little secrecy from the owner on the content of the site and the current website is blank. We don't even know whether the proposed site for making or breaking hearts!

Therefore, generic ideas for the job.

Getting a logo done is not like hiring administrative people where the objective of work is continous output or constant results. Here the objective is also not using a brain to decide how to handle things in certain cases, in scenarios chanding every moment.

We have been doing designing work since coreldraw version 2/Photoshop 3, 1992 to be precise. If I (or one of my staff designers) can earn 500 bucks in 5 days time spending 2 hours a day, it is worthwhile for us, comes to 50 bucks an hour. As mentioned earlier the one I presented first was 1 hour job. It isn't upto the mark but acceptable for 1 hour's hardwork.

We are here also because we like working for hostgator, we're their customers and they have kept us happy. So a sense of reciprocation is also there, besides the monetory incentives. This offer is much better than getting offers for designing a logo for $25 at so many so called freelancing job sites.

I don't mind students being in a competition. When I was a computer student, I used to do 10 times better than what professionals used to do and ( i am not bragging about, please) they used to ask "wow! how did you do that?".

All of the competitors should think "If I'm worth it, I will get it."

So do we have a deadline or something? Maybe the coming Monday 26th or better still 30th November being a more "intuituve" date?

Personally I like three the best. (It will have to be cleaned up a bit, he threw that one together last minute, if you choose that one, he'll clean it up (colors "bleed", missing arrow, and anything else))

Hello ALL!!

The designs continue to blow me away. They all look awesome and I wish I didn't have to pick just one. But unfortunately, I do.

I am going to make the deadline this Friday, November 30th. So, if anyone has a final design they would like to submit, the last day we will be looking is this Friday.

I really appreciate everyone's hard work that they put into all of the designs. They really do look great. Keep up the great work.

My designer is also suffering anxiety. I know it was not a very good job since he is new, but he has worked hard after all and is checking his mail every few hours to read my notification (informing of the result).

Hello Designers,

I know you have all been waiting anxiously on the decision, which wasn't an easy decision at all. I apologize for making everyone wait so long. I wish we could pick everyone, but unfortunately we cant.

After reviewing all of the designs we have FINALLY reached a decision....the logo for ebreakup.com will be codesight's logo three.

The hardcore evil cupid ripping the heart in half was pretty much exactly what I had in mind. I know it wasn't easy designing logos without knowing exactly what ebreakup.com is all about, but I thank everyone for their hard work and efforts.

So....congratulations codesight for creating an awesome logo!!! Thanks so much!
