Hi.
I am just writing down my views on HostGator. I recently bought a HostGator Baby account for $10 a month and I can say now that I am very very please with it. The account may only be a Baby Croc package, but it has far more than most other hosting companies (100Gb storage, unlimited domains etc.) and other hosting companies would charge 5 times as much. I created my account and the billing process went well. I recieved a confirmation email but even after an hour I had not recieved my account details. I then decided to contact live support on the website. I was talked to instantly and within 5 minutes I had the welcome and details of my hosting account. ![]() I put all my files from my old host onto my HostGator account and added some domain names, set up emails etc. My DNS servers were all updated by the next day and my emails and websites were working perfectly. My website was loading super fast (5 times faster than old host) and even my forum with 20 people viewing it loaded instantly. Everything seemed to be running fine but then I went to my website and it said there was no server at my website. I could still access my website through the ip address HostGator supplied me with but not through any of my domain names. I asumed something must have been wrong with the HostGator nameservers since I could access them through the server ip. After sending a support ticket everything seemed to be solved within an hour. Very fast support ![]() So this is my overall view of HostGator: Support: 10/10 Value for Money: 10/10 Hosting Specs: 9/10 Problems: 2 Overall Rating: 9.5/10 Amazing HostGator ![]() Calum Last edited by calum; 06-30-2007 at 11:08 AM.
