Wow-- that's great. Really, really nice work Brian/whoever else worked on this.

Best features (and ones that will surely address the concerns of many forum posters) are CPU usage viewing (with live refresh), process counting with an option to kill, and the inode count (is that live by the way, or cached?).

FYI-- I found one glitch. When I did a whois check, the pop-up box had 1/1 floating in the middle of it, on top of the whois text (and it stayed there even when I scrolled down). Safari 3.1.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.

Two of our best guys Brian Modansky and Richard Simoes did all the work on this theme. I personally feel they have done great work on the customization. The additional utilities provided would help the cpanel users a lot.

Umm... where did the Demo go? Clicking that link does nothing.

Shashank, did your edit break it?
(Or do I have problems using IE?)

EDIT: The second link you just added is working for me.

Looks GREAT!

That link works fine for me but I have added the manual login information as well if the link does not work for you. Can you use the manual login method ?

Perhaps it went over the 25 process limit and the site got suspended.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. We are adding a few more things to the control panel before we distribute it to all the shared servers.

To answer the question about the resellers... Resellers will not get the HostGator branding in the control panel. In the future, They will get a php.ini configuration section which will allow them to choose the settings for the php.ini file. This will happen after the theme is rolled out to shared customers. The php.ini setting is being added to the current shared theme.

In the "future", we possibly may add the extra features to an unbranded theme which subresellers can select as their theme. Say x3Advanced or something like that.

Can you elaborate more? This is a php.ini that will affect all the reseller's sub accounts?

I will have more information for you once we start on that project. Currently we are only working on updating shared accounts. Thank you.

Looks beautiful, like all the new features. One thing that bothers me though.

Are we going to be able to turn off the "Partners"?

I don't want to come off as mean or anything, but I'm not paying 15 bucks a month for advertising on my cPanel.

That particular piece of information is live. It's just the parsed output from quota, which hardly weighs anything, cpu/mem-wise.

Thanks for catching that; fixed it.

Parse output of ps ux, add up each process's cpu/mem %. For cpu, divide the sum by the number of cores on the box.

You won't be able to turn it off, but you will be able to revert back to another cPanel style.

There is a bug in the HG cPanel theme

It seems the cPanel for my personal domain, wapshott.com, was changed to the new HG one

In my old cPanel I used to use file manger v3, when I click on the file manager in the HG cPanel it opens up automatically file manager v2 and also opens up the dialogue box for how I want to open up file manage v3, which when I click on OK opens up v3

I personally want to use v3 of file manager and even made a request that it was made available on all my accounts.

If the new HG cPanel is going to be forced on us then can you please ensure that I have v3 of file manager in all of my accounts please and can you also please ensure than I do not get multiple instances of file manager opening up, it would also be nice if you didn't loose our custom ordering in our cPanels as well.

I am not overly impressed with the adds you have placed on top either as I cant remove them or move them out of the way.

I would appreciate it if you did not change my other accounts over to the new HG cPanel until what I have outlined above has been addressed.

Many thanks,

Keith

EDIT 1: Under processes running it says I have 2 running, when I click on view processes I am met with the following every time:

Note: cPanel-related processes are not listed here.
PID Process Kill
No Active Processes

No offense, to you. But on the designers part, that has to be the most retarded decision. It's not like we're using free hosting so you need ads to pay for the hosting. I suggest HostGator seriously consider for this decision to be changed. Your customers aren't paying for hosting to see ads on their admin page.

Re-read the last part of his statement

So, if you don't like seeing "Partners" in the theme, use another theme. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. I think the theme looks great, great job HG!

1) I believe KeithW is right. That bug was in the demo, too.

2) I wouldn't mind having the ads there if I could drag them down like I can with x3. I have my most-used sections at the top so I don't have to scroll down to them, and think the ads section should be able to be dragged down as well.

3) And @ techboywi,

"another theme" won't have the new stats or the option to be emailed if scheduled maintenance is going to occur.

Hey Keith,

Thank you for notifying us on this file manager issue. It looks like it seems to only be happening in IE. I will look into it and let you know in a few minutes.

You can change the theme if you would like. By changing the theme the ads will go away.

The cpanel process meter is showing all processes including cPanel/ Statistics.
When you click on the View All Processes it takes you to a page where it lists all users processes which are able to be killed. We would not want users to be able to kill cPanel processes.

Thats not a nice thing to say considering the option to take the ads away by switching back to the original x3 theme was mentioned in a previous post. Thank you.

Very true. I will see what we can do before the final rollout. Thanks RainbowViper

Hi Brian,

With regard to the file manage issues, this only happens on the new HG Cpanel theme, it worked fine on my previous Cpanel theme when using IE, this would suggest that it is an error with the HG cPanel theme rather than an error with IE.

Also it might be an idea to remove the link to view all processes if it is not going to serve any functional purpose, this would also ensure you didn't have to answer the same question I had about it over and over again.

If we had the option to move the adds/partners and Hostgator links section as we do with the other sections then I would be happy with that as I could move them out of the way I have my most frequently used items at the top.

By the way it is a very good Cpanel theme with lots of extra and useful features and you should all be commended for your hard work in developing it.
