I was with another web hosting company who shall remain nameless (primehost.com). I had a reseller account with 2 domains. I spent 4 months going back and forth through emails (they have no phone support) trying to corect one problem after another. They continuously made me think that every issue was a client-side error.
I am no expert but I can figure out how to do most anything. I began to doubt my ability to put up a website. Out of frustration, I called HostGator's sales department to ask a few questions about moving my account. The guy was knowledgeable and patient. What impressed me was that there was no hard sell. He could have trashed the hosting company I was with but he took the high road. I was sold. My transfer happened within minutes. I was able to link dreamweaver with no problem. My database worked flawlessly. My fantastico modules loaded without a hitch. I had to call tech support a few times with some questions. They were able to help me quickly and effectively. It has only been 4 days but my experience has been nothing but excellent. Thank you. ![]()
