Hi, very intrested in signing up as like the price, features and the look of the company website. Bit dumb here but is it possible to hide my personal details given in the whois for a domain when i register one(not done so yet). Can you guys do this or can you recommend somewhere else and I transfer the domain? I know some companies have their details on it rather than the owners.

If you purchase the domain name from us we will put our info in the whois instead of yours.

Does that mean that hostgator 'owns' my domain. Please tell me that is NOT the case.

Honestly, I searched whois as well and found all information related to billing, admin, etc belonged to hostgator.com.
Can someone tell me if this means that hostgator owns my domain? Thanks. |

I do not know hostgator
If you register your name through GoDaddy.com. you can choose to have anonymous registration and still own the domain. It will hide your identity. |

By default it's ours fill out www.hostgator.com/enom.php and well set you up with your own account and can push the domain to you so we don't have control anymore.
