Red face Hi! I'm new, stupid and desperate!

Is there a kind altruistic soul out there who might help me transfer 3 sites (Xoops) to my new reseller account?

Why can't I do it myself? It's to do with lists and performing tasks in order etc for the inquisitive amongst you. It should be relatively straight forward for the technorati amongst you.

I know there are a few of these requests on the forum but I guess it's because, like me, some people get a little confused with such issues.

In return for your inordinate generosity I am willing to offer my services in kind. If you are able to transfer a Xoops site, then you will not need me to set a Xoops site up for you. Nor will you require me to build a simple website. However, I can make excellent tea although this could prove a logistical nightmare. I could always set you up with my sister

Yes they are quite helpful but transfered only my account over and not the individual sites hosted within it and while their offer to do it for a small fee is a generous one, I do not have any money at present.

If these are addon sites, it is very easy to recreate them and to transfer per FTP from folder to folder.

Apparently so, I'm having a go myself but I generally don't have much luck with these things.

I believe you have an FTP. it is really easy to do, like a copy/paste.

Well I'm going around in ever frustrating circles here so I guess I'll have to wait untill the end of the month and pay HG to do it.

Well, you might as well keep trying until then...you will probably stumble upon the right way.

What's confusing you?

Have you set the domains up, either as separate accounts through WHM or add-ons through cPanel? If you haven't, think about this totally separately from the Xoops part.

If you have, then you'd be hanging up on the Xoops part?

I think I've done everything right but not being a tech wizard I only know that I haven't because it doesn't work. It could be the path to the site in mainfile.php or I may have cocked up the site transfer or the DNS settings. Who knows?

I sent an e-mail to support several hours ago requesting they do it. I might be able to learn from seeing the results.
