I have a weird problem.
I recently replaced the HG index.html page with my own splash page. But the HG index page refuse to go away. Try www.dreamlistic.com , you should get my splash page. But I get HG index page. I realised that other machines that I may recently have accessed www.dreamlistic.com gives me HG Index Page, wherelse other PCs ( friend's PC ) gives me the correct page, like what you'll get over your side. I have checked and double checked that I have cleared all temp files, history, etc under internet options in Internet Explorer. I have reloaded the page each time. I 'm not connected to a proxy server. I even deleted all files ( except dirs ) from public_html and HG Index Page will still load when accessing www.dreamlistic.com. I tried deleting .htaccess too. I have no URL redirect turned on. Even Mac, IE6, gave similar problem. I pinged dreamlistic.com & www.dreamlistic.com Both get the IP 74.53.108.130 so my machine is resolving the domain correctly. The HG Getting Started Page is not even in my site! I keep getting it. Previously I have replaced the( HG ) index.html before and it worked. Then I realised I did not have that Getting Started Page anymore and requested HG Support to put back the page. Now the page wouldn't go away without www works fine. ie http://dreamlistic.com gives me the correct page over my side. I JUST DON'T GET IT! It has worked before. I opened a support ticket. So far they are response but not going anywhere though. Hope somebody here can help me. Thanks. EddieQ |

Sounds like a cache problem. Not HG related.

Could just be a DNS Cache problem with your ISP.. try restarting your modem/router or ask your ISP if they are having problems.

You guys are right.
So far I found that the computers having problems loading updated files are those connected to the same ISP. Not just the HG page having problems updating but all other files in my site. I called my ISP support and they told me to use a proxy server and the problem was resolved immediately. The strange thing is after that, other machines that I did nothing to begin to update correctly. I'm not sure why. But I think the issue is resolved. Thanks guys. EddieQ |

You might also try opendsn.com for nameservers. (and change ISP, if that is possible) |

That is an .htaccess setting that can be changed, as well.
