HG for Europe?

Hi,

I'm considering HG as a host for sites directed at European customers. Just wanted to ask hows the performance for potential users from Europe, since data centers are in the USA if I'm not wrong? [no big traffic predicted for those sites, no e-commerce or big forums]

I am in Europe (UK) and have experienced no problems what so ever.

Reliability, speed and up time have been excellent

Same US speed from the Uk has been ok for me, my only issue has been trying to ODBC the database (it timesout)

you might need to ask support to whitelist your IP to connect to a DB remotely.

I have a dedicated server, MY IP can connect and retrieve.. Just times out after getting all the data.. Its a latency issue...

I just take a copy and work on that now.. which is a better option anyway!!
