A Hey Mods link
On my favorite forum (Where I live), each post has a Hey Mods link where posts can be flagged as spam, and off-topic. This allows a Mod to check the complaint. Spam is quickly removed by this technique.

It's there, on the top bar of the post above Join Date: The "|" symbol inside the red triangle. Took me a while to realize that's where it was.

Well, HG does have to prioritize things.
Deleting SPAM is a little ways down the list. But those posts are gone as of this writing, at least. And don't feel silly. It took me a LONG time to realize what that red triangle meant.
