If your old host had cPanel then Hostgator should be able to do a free transfer for you, see this web page: https://secure.hostgator.com/transfer.php

You can't transfer a domain if it is under 60 days old. You can, however, change the nameservers.

If you wish to have your domain registered through us, fill out this form: https://secure.hostgator.com/freedomaintransfer.php .. This will only work if the domain is 60 days old or older.
If you just wish to have your website on our servers, then fill out this form: https://secure.hostgator.com/transfer.php We can transfer a site even if your old host does not offer cPanel, though we could only get files and databases in that case, as emails from other control panels are not compatible with cPanel. |
