I have setup an addon domain, let's call it addon.com.Cpanel automatically associates this with addon.maindomain.com. No problem there, if that's what it wants to do. So long as people are able to type addon.com in and view my pages, I am fine with that.
My issue is this: it is telling me that the email login for the addon domain has to be myname@addon.maindomain.com. I would like it to simply be myname@addon.com, is there any way I can do this? |

It seems as if you setup a Subdomain instead of an Addon domain. Are you sure?

Positive. I setup a subdomain the other day as well, and everything is fine with it.
When I set up the addon domain, it automatically creates a matching subdomain and only allows me to add mail users to it as the subdomain. |

Hm. I don't know what happened, but it just seems to have resolved itself. Maybe it just took a few minutes for some reason or another, but I can now add users to the addon domain.
I love it when problems work themselves out. |
