Currently I have a Basic Linux Server. I have 50 clients on it, most of which are small time mom and pop websites, nothing that really uses alot of resources.
However, I have three FM radio stations and one unnamed client who use up the most of my resources. It seems when ever something huge happens at the radio station, the server bogs and needs to be rebooted. In 15 days there is going to be a HUGE traffic surge as a country act is coming to town and a joomla/virtuemart website will be selling tickets. This scares me, I know my Basic can't handle it. So I'm going to upgrade. My question is, should I upgrade to Elite, or Pro? I'm wondering if I'm ready for pro yet due to the cost, but will Elite hold massive amounts of traffic? Does anyone know what sort of traffic the different sizes of servers can handle? |

I would suggest that you get a dedicated server for your big client alone. this way if they got hit by a big wave of clients, you/they know they have to update to a better plan & more importantly the other clients' sites will not get affected.
