This is the best customer service that I have ever received with any online business (and with most of the actual businesses that I deal with every day). Anytime I had a question, I was able to login to the live help. I registered 2 days ago and in that time had multiple questions that I had to get answered. I only had 1 experience where the representative took lots of time to respond. Beyond that, every other experience was top rate, fast and accurate. When I was confused over issues, I was able to ask for clarification and get the answers that I needed.
That was not the best part though. I took advantage of the 1 free cpanel transfer and it was phenomenal. I worried through the whole thing and it was easy and quick. When I had trouble logging in, I got immediate responses of help to my tickets that were friendly and accurate. I have gotten incredibly good service from host gator. Working on website issues can be frustrating. You guys have made this a much simpler and easie process. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! ![]() Kris Last edited by GatorDHanna; 03-12-2009 at 04:03 PM. Reason: Icon change. |

Kris,
Welcome to HostGator! Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to hear that the transfer process went well and that we've made your experience of working on a website easier.

I have actually run into a wrinkle and I need some help. When HG was transferring my cpanel it seems that only 1/2 of each of my databases got transferred. I'm not sure why I was able to see my websites through my hostgator IP before I transferred the nameservers. Maybe my computer was caching it? I have NO clue. It seemed like everything was working perfectly and so I changed nameservers.
Now though, I am unable to access any of my websites. There are multipel database errors in all files. I have no way of changing this myself and my former host has not yet responded to me. My entire website is down and I am completely at the mercy of my former host whom I haven't heard from and hostgator who tells me that they need my mysql files placed in some sort of a shell. I have no idea how to do this. I have gotten responses from customer service here and my tickets...but I don't know how to fix things. Can someone help me out? Kris |
