Has something changed on Infinity?

On multiple accounts, my perl scripts which have been solid forever are all failing. The most common error is "can't open lock file", but there is no lock.txt in any directories.

I see there was a cpanel change on 3/8/05 having to do with gid/uid - could this be playing havoc with permissions, etc?

Few of my sites php/sql based, were serving outdated data; However, I have to restore everything again.

Wonder why things happened mysteriously on Infinity. Any changes of hardwares or softwares done recently?

Hmm, a couple of my sites (not all of them) will not load on Infiniti now.

Perl scripts are mysteriously working again - Server load is very high right now. Memory hovering between 50 & 60%. Sloooooow!

There was a site running heavy mysql causing the problems we disabled shortly after It started.

SQL/PHP based sites down on Infinity ... seems like once a week ritual. Any update?

OK - seems working now.
