I have been with HostGator for almost two years after a bad experience with my first hosting company. For the most part, I like HostGator. And for the most part, support has been good.
However, I find that more and more mistakes are made that should not be made. I know a lot about computers and the internet, however, I am still learning about UNIX servers. So my service is managed since I am not yet comfortable managing it myself. I don't expect support people to be perfect. I used to do customer phone support, so I know how it goes. But I expect the support people to be careful and not make "stupid" mistakes. If anyone from HostGator wants to talk to me about this, I would be glad to share tickets, etc. Thanks for letting me vent a little. Kelly Ling

I wanted to post an update to this. Support has taken care of all my issues and in fact, in the most timely manner of all. Even on a weekend. So I am back to being pleased.
Support still needs to be careful when doing their work - that extra care is taken to eliminate mistakes that cause other problems to crop up. Even so, they are still a class act in my book. Kelly Ling |
