What happens after promo expires?

If I sign up using a promocodo for example year plan for $90. Does the prices gets recent to original cost after a year or this price stays If I continue to renew it?

Renewals will be at the regular price. Just because you buy something "on sale" today, that doesn't mean that you can keep coming back every year and buying the same thing for the "sale" price, does it?

Its not always the case. I have signed up the sale deals like vonage or cable and they tend to keep the agreement with the sales price. It all depends on the company how do they want to retain their customers.

I think HG prefers to retain customers by providing excellent service at a fair price. The promo deals are usually loss-leaders. No company can stay in business by selling things for less than they cost them.

Agreed that no company can make money selling product less than the cost but they can sell them by reducing their margin to provide inexpensive product with good service. I been vodahost for few years now and they give everything unlimited for $7.95 standard price which I have seen nominal and market price. $9.95 seems bit out of market.

The regular price of an HG Hatchling account is about $5 a month, with unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth.

I'm always a little amazed when people complain about the price of hosting, or go through all sorts of gyrations and arguments, trying to get a buck off. How much do you pay for your cable service? For your cellphone service? For a latté? Web hosting, by comparison, is almost unbelievably cheap.

Come on. Don't go there. I am frugler and also Candidate for CFP. I can talk about it. Every buck you save, its dollars you make out of it. It cascade effect. Anyway, I am web developer and host 10 sites of my own already in current vodahost plan. SO I am looking for unlimited domain as well which cost me $7.95 but not in HG after a year. If I keep my service for 10 years. thats $240, still not big amount but good chuck of money.

I still don't know where you're getting those prices. The regular price of the Baby Plan, with unlimited domains, is about $8 a month. The promo rate is $6.36 a month.

By the way, you can always just stick with vodahost if you think they provide the same service at a better price.

In any event, I don't think HG is going to negotiate with you in order to snag your business. You either take the deal as offered, or you don't. It really is that simple.

Really, if you go and sign up for the plan. It shows the regular price of the plan is $119.40 (9.95) - 25% - 89.95. Thats $7.46 a month after discount but without its going to cost me $9.95 as per their site. Thats what I see. I don't know where you see you price.

I know that sir. THey are good but not really great. I have had some issue with them and trying to see a better place with better support.

Let me make sure I understand this.... You have a host with which you've had some issues, and whose support isn't really good. So you want much better service. But without paying any more for it.

While you're at it, why don't you wish for a pony?

I sure will wish for it because its consumer market with competitive products. If HP, BB, Sony and Samsung can sell similar product has Apple with better service, I would go with Hp or Samsung. Why do I have to spend money with Apple?
