Great email support!
I just had a bad experience with a discount ISP called EV1.net. I switched to them in order to save about $8 per month (after paying the $30 setup fee).
I have 8 web sites on my reseller account. I was unable to reach three of them through EV1.net. I had no problem with SBC/Yahoo, my account at school where I teach, and at the public library. I went through tech support for two weeks. I did tracers, whois, etc.... I even purchased WinXP w/ SP2 to make sure it wasn't my OS (WinME). I run Linux 99% of the time. They acted like that was a dirty word. They kept saying it was either on my end or here at HostGator. I didn't see how it could be HostGator since the sites are accessible through everyone else!
The techs here at HostGator were very nice and made sure everything was ok and even gave me ideas to help trouble shoot a problem that wasn't theirs.
After several layers of tech support at EV1.net and a couple of layers of customer service, I ended up eating the $10.83 + $30 setup fee.
I am thankful for a first rate hosting company with first rate tech support and customer service here at HostGator.
