Negative Was good, now stability is taking a dive

I have been a customer here at Hostgator for awhile now and even though they offer great service their server stability is starting to go down the drain. As a reseller we provide the same SLA to our clients and we are not able to provide them reliable service because of the sporadic 3-5 minutes of downtime every other day.

I have to not reccommend Hostgators services as they seem to be growing to big for their boots.

What's your ticket number? Honestly our reliability has increased a lot and seems to keep increasing. The last week or so hasn't been the best as cpanel keeps doing updates that are breaking things like mail. We then have to go in and fix everything each update breaks.

Well not with us as we have lost clients because of several issues. There are quite a few tickets and when a refund was asked for they practically laughed in my face. I am sure my forum name is hooked up to my account if not please pm me and I can give you my email address to look at the tickets

According to robert the errors were a result of you having multiple indexes. I also looked up the reboot history on the box and it was rebooted a few times on the 24th and never since.

The last reboot to that was on august 21st.

Looking over your tickets you seemed to always say only one site was down but made it sound like others were up. If one site is down than all would be not just one unless it's user error of some type.

I noticed you said it's worth thousands for you to have the best possible uptime. Why don't you get a pro dedicated box? In a shared environment your always going to have numerous few minute outages a month. That's why we guarantee 99.9% uptime not 100%.

99.9% allows up to 45 minutes down a month.

If you are on a dedicated and you have downtime it's because of your site not anyone elses. Is this something you have considered?

Could be so, I do not know when you reboot

Yes this is the most important site but all sites were down and can even give you the numbers to the clients of ours to call and confirm. Don't worry we heard enough about the other sites, but this is a big client of ours that we lost due to your poor service. I don't think the clients lie.

What does this have to due with anything? If this is the case you need to put a big ass red sign on your website that says not meant for serious e-commerce sites. The site does not even get that much traffic and is the ONLY major site on our server. we host i believe 5 sites. This site is the only one that gets traffic and we have had nothing but problems. Sporadic downtime and more. This client is now moved to a dedicated server which was suppose to be hostgator dedicated but once I told them who the service is with do you actually expect them to use your dedicated servers after the type of service received. Give me a break, again you must be joking. Also when I signed up for your services it did not say expect a few numerous minute outages each month. It said 99.9% uptime and we don't even get that and I am counting downtime on 1 site not even the other sites.

Well please refund me. We had downtime due to several reasons. I am online 24 hours a day. My client is on his website literally every second so everytime his site is down I receive an email, even if it is for 2-3 minutes. Well guess what I have a lot of emails.

I am not on a dedicated box. I am a reseller on your plan and it cannot even handle the 5-6 sites i have. Only 1 site was doing anything I call major traffice (20GB a month) and they were planning to move to a dedicated, but it gives no excuse at all for poor service at all. All other sites either get very low traffic or parked on the server for storage and get no traffic but our own for web design purposes.

I was actually just able to figure out the problems you've had. It's from infiniti being changed to phpsuex. Any sites that aren't secure it won't let load. That would explain your downtime. It was put on and taken off, and then put back on after we fixed most of sites that had security issues.

It's back on now so if you have any sites with problems still please let me know.
