Good and Bad

I came to Hostgator in 2005. I had two other Hosts before that, and my site kept getting hacked. When I came to Hostgator, I was pretty happy with the service. I did have to upgrade to a semi-dedicated server, but I thought it would be ok. Less down time.

Now I run a simple Fan site. However I deal with large companies such as Warner Brothers and Mattel. So of course I need my site to be up and running all the time.

Recently that has been the case. I've had Bandwitdh problems. Those were cleared up, then there was connection problems. Those seem to have been cleared up. Now, today, my site has been up and down. I talked to live Suppoort twice. The first time I was given no explantion why it was down, but it seemed to be fixed. The second time, it came up, and I was told there was no problem.

I had been getting emails from my members, so I knew there was a problem.

I did submit a ticket, and haven't heard anything as of this writing. My biggest complaint is this.. I need my site up and running all the time. When it goes down, it makes my site look bad.

Now, on the positive side, I am usally always late with my payments. I can't help it, as I said, this is a fan site, it makes very little money, so I have to pay the 75 bucks out of my pocket, and my family has to come first. So I am thankful that I am given a grace period to allow my payment to come in late.
