How do I go about doing this? In cpanel there is only the option to add to http://mydomainname/forum
I tried to manually upload phpbb into http://www.myaddondomain.com/forum but i get a line 331 and line 330 mqsql critical error. I also tried making the phpbb forum for my original domiain name, then copying the files over to under my addonlinesite.com/forum this seems to work in actually getting the front pages up but when I try to use the administration control panel it shoots me to http://mydomainname/forum/admin/index.php?stuff and then it shows up as doesn't exist? |

Honestly, that kind of problem is why I never use the auto install programs like Fantastico. I find it a lot easier to just do a manual install of php scripts.
Unzip the php files to your local computer, and FTP them to the location of your add-on domain maindomain.com/addon-domain/forum is where I would put them. Then go into Cpanel and create your MySQL database. Then either go to the php scripts install page, or use phpMyAdmin to add the tables by importing the .sql file that came with the script. It sounds kind of complecated, but once you've done it once or twice you can do it in your sleep, and it usualy works without tweaking. Just a thought. Staren |
