I can't seem to get Eudora to check for my email.
I have had other hosting accounts and was always able to setup correctly, but I can't seem to find out how to get Host Gator and Eudora to talk. will someone tell me what I should have as outgoing server and incoming server. Previously my outgoing has been smtp.myISP.com and my incoming was my actual domain name, but that doesn't seem to work with Host Gator. I am not really sure what to ask, so hopefully someone knows exactly what I mean and can help me. thanks for you time. James |

Well it took me a few hours but I finally figured out what the problem was.
I had to go into the persona for the account I wanted and set the incoming mail to NEVER check Secure Socket. I hope this helps someone in the future because I was really getting frustrated and ready to give up on it. Which meant I would have had to find another hosting company and I have heard so much good things about Host Gator. |

What kind of error message are you getting? My Eudora email has been working with Hostgator for well over a year, but the last 24 hours it has quit working. It is giving me some kind of error saying the certificate couldn't be matched. Eudora is still working for my email account with my Internet access provider.. It is only giving the error on my Hostgator account. If I go to my webmail, I can get into the Hostgator emails, but not through Eudora. I came here to see if there is any global support issue before filing a problem ticket. SO, I was curious what kind of error you are getting and/or if others who use Eudora are having any trouble.
