Default how to get 'sufficient privileges' so i can do 'advanced search' ?

Hi all,

My first remark is I don't see any proper forum to post this question in as it is neither 'pre sales','review' or 'suggestion'. So I just post it random, sorry for that.

I found a few problems with my new account on hostgator and I would like to search the forum on it. But after trying the advanced search I get:
Quote:
rvanderh, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation
What can I do to get sufficient privileges ?

Thanks, Rik

Has it to do with this text in the sticky ?

I prefer to use my special emailadress for forums on this forum also and keep my proper mailbox empty with forum related messages. How can we get over this ?

Rvanderh,

As is discussed in this thread, we try to scan new forum accounts and authorize ones belonging to customers. If your using a different email address sometimes we miss you. In those cases there is a form you can use to request forum access.

http://forums.hostgator.com/if-you-n...um-t20966.html

Just get that filled out with your account details and we will get you authenticated.

I am going to move this thread to our pre-sales forum as its one place where customers who have not been authenticated can go.
