Question General reseller package questions

Hello,
I'm considering getting one of your reseller accounts. I'm mostly interested in offering free hosting to some friends/relatives, but am intrigued by reselling and had some questions.

- Reseller package -
1. Basic reseller plan is 5gb/50gb. Are those numbers realistic - meaning can your actual usage really approach those numbers without getting warning emails/suspended?

2. What are my options for controlling bandwidth overage? I don't want to wake up one morning to find a client has posted a download link on Slashdot, and now owes for 100s GBs of excess bandwidth. Do I have the option of having accounts immediately shut off when they hit their assigned bandwidth, or only allowing X extra GBs beyond plan, for instance?

3. What happens if one of my clients has, for example, a bad module that's using too many server resources or otherwise violates the TOS. Is that individual site taken down, or would my whole account (and all clients' sites) be taken down? Do I have to take the site offline (or disable the script) personally, or is it done automatically?

4. Can my clients still contact HostGator for technical support, or am I responsible for all questions/support? Do you offer any sort of outsourced support plans for resellers?

- Fantastico -
1. Can I limit which items clients can install? Based on plan, for example?

2. Is it possible to provide additional items to clients through the fantastico interface - for example custom postnuke modules or adding basic web-site templates?

Thanks,
Jason.

Yes. There's no overselling, so you can actually use this without getting warnings.

The bandwidth you assign in your plans can not be exceeded by your clients.

If a site is taking too many resources the script could be stopped without taking down the site or that complete site could be suspended. You (or you clients) will have to be sure the script taking all the resources will be modified/disabled when the site is brought up again (by HostGator).

As a reseller you will have to take care of the support. Your clients should not contact HG directly.

You can enable/disable items in cPanel but not in Fantastico.

No, this is not possible.
