gator84 stability issues

I had recommended Hostgator to my client as I have using it for some time and had a very little issue. I had accounts on different servers and stability was quite good. However, gator84 proved to be the most unreliable server I have ever encountered.

The account has been open for about two months. My client was complaining about outages. As familiar with Hostgator stability and knowing that shared servers has to be rebooted time to time, I though they are temporary problems and will be ok soon.

When I realized the server downtimes were not resolved, we had opened a couple of tickets for the issues. Everytime we got a reply that the problem was resolved, the site is working etc. But the basic monitoring service we have showed that the site was going down at least a couple of times in a week which sometimes takes as long as 40mins to come back online.

When no support ticket helps, I had more detailed tracking of the site and below is the shocking report on site availability for the last 48 hours:

The ticket # is RXK-430474. All we had from the support team that a user causing the downtime has been taken care of and there should not be any more outages.


But for now, the nightmare continues...
