gator40 issues
Dear Customers,
We are currently experiencing some major issues with the gator40 server which is related to the drives in the machine, the IO on the box is extremely slow due to this, though neither drive tests bad via smartctl. I'm currently performing an emergency rsync of this box to it's upgrade box (the newer more powerful Conroe). Since the IO on this box is so slow who knows how long this rsync could take, but I'm trying my best to make it go quicker. We understand you are frustrated with the recent outages on this server, please bear with us and thanks for choosing HostGator!

Not a problem!
I do have some additional information, I've completed an initial complete synchronization to the new server, I'm forcing another one so that any data that changed in the past few hours is also as up to date as possible. Keep in mind that we're trying to make this as seamless as possible for everyone. I'm still waiting to get with Dave (our CTO) to facilitate the swap when everything is in place. We'll keep you posted!
