Default gator39 issues

I've been a customer of hostgator for one site or another for going on two years now, and have had very little trouble.

However, I've been having quite a headache due to the server my site is on. At the moment, gator39 is at:

/home 97%
/usr 91%
/var 92%

/var is only at 92% after I complained to support that it had reached 100% and the mysql database on my server was nonfunctional. Normally I don't complain over one incident, but this is not the first time this has happened. I've had to do multiple table repairs after they get stuck "in use" after it reaches 100%, which increases downtime, as well as contact support on a few occasions when it reaches 99 or 100% and nothing is done about it immediately.

A month ago (12/16/06) when I last complained, I was told that gator39 would be getting a larger hard drive "very soon", but that never happened.

These issues are beginning to get on my nerves, as I can't always be there to repair a table or contact support, so my site visitors are getting downtime for hours at a time, and it grates on me.

Any specific timetables or information would be most helpful.

How are your page loads?
What are some high numbers for the Server Load? Is it usually around 1.xx?

A server load in the 1s isn't bad for that type of server, as far as I know.

How about 30.42, because that what mine hit about 5 minutes ago.

I'm sure that before complaining in TWO threads about this (one about a different server...), you've told both live support and ticket support?

Yeah he has.

Anyway, is anyone from hostgator going to address this?

Don't expect it to be addressed in the forum-- they stop in here sometimes but it's mostly peer support. What'd they say on the tickets about it?

The first one.

Quote:
Nicholas,

We freed up some space on /var for you. There's still not much space left on this partition, but we'll have a much larger disk in place on this server very soon.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

That was on 12/16/06.

The second one was yesterday.

Hello,

We're working on replacing all of our older servers. We've already started this process, and will be getting to gator39 shortly.
