Hi. this is a new account, less than 10 days old.
i'm planning to move over a web store from ipowerweb, coz theyve started to suck recently. but now i cant even seem to load up the hostgator host to which i've been assigned. the ip addy is 74.52.67.178 , which resolves to gator386. if it's down, why is it down? and when is it gonna be back up? this is not a good omen. i read good reviews about this hostng service from hostjury, and so far my experience has not been spectacular. -dern |

its actually very slow for me recently. I'm on gator387 but it shows the same IP. I'm going to submit a ticket right now and see whats up. I didn't have any problems with it not loading for me this morning, just slow.

More than likely this isn't a host gator problem. You should use opendns and see if the problem continues. I'm sure it will fix your issues. |

I will have to agree with derniere and gomp. I too have been with hostgator for less than two weeks. Support is great, but my site is frequently painfully slow (I am on gator380). I moved my site from a different hosting to hostgator thinking that speed was going to be much better here, but it's not. I'm now wondering if I made the right move.
I have submitted a ticket previously about this, but I do not want to be submitting tickets everytime my site is slow, which is often. Sierra, how are you so sure it's not a hostgator problem? |
