/home is mounted as read only on gator379 and it's going down for a fsck at this time. Thanks for your patience.

gator379 is going down again for filesystem maintenance. Sorry guys we're working on ensuring this does not continue it may be related to a new cPanel update which causes heavy IO on the disks. Thanks for bearing with us.

89.9% and I've located the user with the excessive inode usage that was causing this.

That's great to hear. I've also been wondering:
I signed up for hosting 3 days ago on gator379 and the first 2 days the site was REALLY slow. Then it was really peppy last night. Is there a reason for this change, does it have to do anything with what is going on right now? |

Basically a user has gone over inode usage to an excessive extent and is causing problems with the filesystem and will be dealt with accordingly. On top of that some of the newer boxes didn't have the Apache limits set on them correctly so Apache was hitting MaxClients(we're still getting some of the small things all ironed out in our new initial script that sets up the boxes). These should all be raised now and if you see any of these newer machines having issues let us know, but we have most of them documented and fixed or on the to do list to be fixed at this time. Thanks again for bearing with us.

Just another update, it actually looks like something is wrong with the chassis, the RAID card, or the memory in the machine. I've having our datacenter swap out the entire chassis at this time to rule out all 3 as even after the fsck the box is locking up on boot. Thanks again for your continued patience with us.

When can we expect to see this fixed, this down time is costing me a fortune.
I not happy. I know you are doing your best to fix it but this is not what I signed up for all my other domains are fine on Host Gator, but the one I need for today is off. |

Ford is smart and can handle it. My site is down as well, but complaining won't help anything ... will only discourage people to fix it.
Will stay tuned for more updates. |

I was not complaining, just adding my right to reply, I know they are doing their best to sort it out, it's just frustrating.

gator379 is back online at this time. There was an error I have never seen in one of the drives in the array and it was causing issues. Let us know if you see any further problems. Thanks.

This site is back online now. Due to the chassis swap arp was still cached at TP's side for the old MAC address.

Again this was related to the chassis swap. The license should be updated. Let us know if you see anything else. Thanks.

We'll have to schedule some time later to replace the bad drive and get the array back to a fully healthy status but I wanted to get the machine back online as soon as possible, even in it's degraded state. Please submit a ticket if you see any other issues. Thanks.
