Gator36 Server Problems Still Exist

The problems with the server dropping persistent data still exists, the sever intermittently drops all persitent user data and makes users of forum repeatedly have to login.

A little annoying to say the least. For all intent and purposes, it makes it almost impossible to maintain a forum.

Could my site be moved to a more reliable server?

what is your ticket number on this? We have not seen any problems of this nature.

If you're not actually online and monitoring it, you'll miss it. Again it doesn't happen continually for minutes or hours. The sever will be fine, then kick-out for a second resetting.

Normal webpage viewers wouldn't notice the hiccup, though web apps that store and rely on persistent data will fail.

MySQL still randomly kicking out once or twice daily.

Yes, we've been having problems too, for weeks. My ticket was opened 12/22 and is still active (JMQ-60035-947). Hopefully it gets resolved soon..

Yes .. I've noticed the same over the past few week ... never had a problem for the first three months or so .. and now problems almost every day ..
I've reported it under ticket GPT-40021-986 to support .. so hopefully they will see that it is not just one of us having problems ..

We are working to get 4 gigs swapped on the server since we believe it is a RAM problem. The planet is being very difficult to deal with regarding this issue so I will be flying up to see them in the next week to complain on behalf of all of us.

Wow. That is great. Your a huge customer, they should treat you good, if not, you SHOULD fly up and ring some necks!

(and we should be rewarded for you being a good customer with good support from them).
