Exclamation Gator36 Having Intermittent Problems

For the past couple weeks I have been noticing intermittent problems connecting to:

Hosted Domain Name:
maddkarma.com
HostGator Server
:
70.85.249.34 (Gator36)

The server times out sometimes and lately, especially today the database has been glitching

mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'(2)/home/****/public_html/forum/includes/***_***.php on line 273

, also it has been separately disgarding all persistent information regarding session information (The forum drops all information on active users and they must repeatedly log in)

Again, the situation doesn't occur continually all day long, though it has become a regular event surfacing a couple times a day. When I first joined Gator36 held around 172 users, it's now holding around 750, though even at 700 users it still had solid performance until a couple weeks ago.

Yes .. I've noticed the same problem ... It seems to be getting a bit slow (or no server response) every few days ..

I'm over here in Australia and we seem to get the problems mid afternoon (GMT+9.5 hrs timezone) ...

Hope the gator guys/gals can sort it out ... cos up to now the hosting by them has had very little problems for us ..

I'm having the same problem too. It's getting a bit frustrating. It doesn't affect all who visit my site at the same time, but I can't access my own site right now.

Please look into this guys We appreciate all your hard work, but it seems this server might be in need of some repairs.

Yeah I hope so, Gator36 is really bad tonight. It's timing out now, repeatedly. Slow page loads when it's not. ((

[re: Didn't hear the beeping] I've repeatedly told my coworkers those iPods can be very dangerous

Nice to know everythings back up and the database seems to be working efficiently again.

Thanks for the explanation Brent.

Spoke too early, the email is still down (((
