For the past month on my hosting I have been getting error 500's on my site where it is not accessible, it does this also trying to logon to cpanel. It does not do it however with static pages. It is doing it now if you can view it before it stops doing it, http://www.m91.co.uk/ http://www.m91.co.uk/cpanel . Please note that the site is under construction so it will be a blank page if it is working.

It fixed itself this instant. Will probably happen again.

support@hostgator.com If this is also occuring for cpanel, there is a problem that needs to be looked into.

Whenever Internal Server 500 errors come up and then go away on their own, this usually indicates that you have reached the 25-process limit set in apache. This can mean that you either have a lot of traffic on your site at the time of the errors, or you may have a script or two that is not terminating properly and causing processes to 'hang' for a while. The next time you are getting 500 errors please contact our live chat and tell them to have an admin check your processes. We can then make recommendations on how to resolve this.
Thank you for your business! |

was running nothing at the times this happened and my site is very low traffic. (it is currently in development). I only notice this when siteuptime says my site is down (it must recognise the 500 error). I will contact live chat next time this happens.
