Hi,
Ive been emailing fine for around 3 months.This noon I cant send any email from my domain, which is hosted on gator300. If I send to hotmail addresses, I get a mail deliver error. To other addresses, they simply dont arrive. Anyone else having this problem? I already send out an email to RBL and got this message back: Hello, Have you followed the guidelines outlined at http://postmaster.msn.com/Guidelines.aspx ? Do you also have an SPF/SIDF record on your domain? I checked my domain and i have a SPF record on there. Am I blacklisted? Please respond asap, im losing business because of this. I've been having some serious problems over the past few weeks. The root of the problem is the fact that Hostgator keeps ending up on RBLs and as a result my forwarding of mail messages to external mail servers fails.
RBLAbuse has been very helpful in getting Hostgator unblocked but quite consistently HG ends up back on the list within 24 hours. My requests to prompt HG getting unblocked were coming very morning but that cycle of events has become tiresome. I have really very much been pleased by my Hostgator service and the support staff has always been top drawer, but if the mail servers remain blocked that is a service impairment I can't live with. Does anyone have any insight or comments? Anthony |

What I'm trying to do is to rig up a push mail set up where mail coming into my HG hosted domain accounts (me@mydomain.com) get forwarded to either (a) Bell Mobility text messaging (b) fastmail.fm or (c) mail2web.com. Any of these three would send a text notification to my PPC that would in turn (with the help of a tool) trigger an automatic send/receive effectively giving me push mail.
This worked perfectly until a few weeks ago when the forwards started bouncing... and bouncing and bouncing. After much work with support the cause of the bounced forwarded messages was Hostgator's newly constant appearance on the RBL. When steps are taken to get delisted the setup works fine until HG is RElisted within 24 hours. I need the RBL issue resolved once and for all since NONE of these other mail services are accepting forwarded messages from HG. If HG is seen by Spamhaus to be on a permanent blacklist I need to find another solution. Anthony |
