Default gator252 - slow for some, fast for others?

I can load the site pretty quick, but sometimes it might take 4 seconds for the server to return an image on a page. That's just for me.

For other people, living in the same area as me, the sites load at a snail's pace, it could take 5 minutes just for a page to completely load. Why does this happen? They tell me it takes forever to load a page on the site, when I can load the page at the same time in 2-3 seconds. Server makes priorities between Web site manager and Web site visitor?

The whole point is that the server delivers the page very slow. I can't reproduce this on my computer because I don't have this problem but my clients do.

Server is gator252.

Help?

No idea why it happens for others.

Where can I test server response?

Generally when it's slow for some and fast for others it's something to do with their internet provider.

Could it be the ISP's fault here? The ISP is slow at connecting to gator's servers but normal for all other servers? Because my clients tell me they can load other sites quickly.

PHP takes about 1.5 miliseconds to process a document on my server, I timed it using microtime() at the beginning and end of script. So it's not server software.

It would be so much better if I could reproduce, the person I'm making the Web site for is telling me to move hosts or to even buy a dedicated server because of this... I don't think that's the problem, though.

The hostname goes to the same server as the domain.

I can't let out the site, its under construction and I as the Web master and host manager can't let the link out for now.

This site is on the same hosting account: http://pznetworks.com/forums
I pinged the site and the maximum was 40ms...

I'm not really sure its the server with the problem, its either the ISP or the internet speed of all the people that have tried to load.

I tried it from a school computer and it loaded fine.

The only thing I could think of to do with the hosting is that the server makes priorities over ISP's possibly? Or its having a harder time transmitting the data through the ISP?

What a headache...

That won't be the case... it will be on the side of the ISP.... you could have them tracert the site in command prompt

tracert pznetworks.com
