gator193 problem?

Is anyone having trouble accessing their websites on gator193?

My site has been running slow this evening, and even fails to load sometimes.

Also showing these as red in server status (cpanel)

ftpd failed

exim-26 failed

exim (exim-4.68-1_cpanel_maildir) failed

Server Load 24.40 (2 cpus)

The server (or at least apache does) appears up for me, but did you alert live chat?

Thanks, yes I did talk with live chat, and they checked it out and said it was fine, apart from some heavy load a couple of hours previous. I reloaded the server status while they were checking and all the failed items above were marked as green and OK again. Ten minutes after I finished the conversation they were marked red again (failed)

cpanel was taking about a minute to open, and my site was awfully slow to load. This morning however all seems back to normal.

You should write down the exact times its down (and your timezone!) and submit that to HG ticket support. They may be able to look in the logs to see what's going on, or figure out a pattern.

How do we know what our server is?
all I know is the DNS names...

If on shared, log in to your Cpanel. Down the left, "Server Name."

If on reseller, log in to WHM. Down the left, click "Server Information." Then middle of page, "System Information."

My site is down again. Just on with Live chat now

Ya, Gator193 has a high cpu load and it says POP is failing.

POP would only be dropping due to the high CPU load.

My site's grinding to a halt again. High server load on gator 193 so I'm told by live support.

Good afternoon,

This afternoon we became aware of the situation on Gator193 and the user who was causing the issue was removed.

We have a dedicated team of System Administrators that monitor our server 24/7 365. When an issue arrises on one of our servers, such as high load or a service has failed, one of our admins handles the situation.

I saw that Gator193 earlier today was having an issue and personally logged into the server and found the problem. There was a user that had an excessive amount of connections, as stated before this user was removed.

I still do however recommend highly that if you see an issue with your server persist please contact us.

Server 193 playing up yet again.

eximstats = failed
spamd = failed
exim-26 = failed

Oh and now also marked as red, Server Load 21.93 (2 cpus 18.39 GMT

19.21 GMT.

ftpd = failed
Server Load 27.20 (2 cpus)

gee, that sounds exactly like the problems I have been having on yenko.websitewelcome.com (another hostgator server)

perhaps these servers are simply overcrowded?

uhh, down again for the second time today.... I don't want to switch servers, I don't want to switch hosts, I don't want to have to deal with that as with my luck, something will happen and I'll end up losing data or something of the sort.

No matter how many tickets I submit, the problem keeps coming back, so it's got to be DDoS or something of the sort (only thing I can think of, but I don't know much about that), as you'd think by now if it's a problem with the server they'd of fixed it and if it's been a problematic user(s) that HG would of removed them by now...

I hope this get's fixed and fixed for good soon as I like being hosted here but I don't care for the downtime...

My site was working fine until about 10 minutes ago, now it's dead and getting a 500 internal server error.
