We are currently working to get the server online. The server had a degraded array so it was taken off-line to replace this, and after doing so the server would not boot.

A brand new chassi is being put online at which point all the data will be moved over from the failing drive to get the server back online.

As far as how much longer the server will be down depends on how long it takes for the data to transfer. I will continue to provide updates as I get them.

The server has been restoring for a little while now onto the new drives. At the current rate, it should take around three hours or so to get everyone back online.

It seems that the hosting accounts are back, but sites are still down, no domain no email data and no html files restored even on "a-f" main domain sites.
ARE YOU SURE THE SYSTEM IS AT THE "Gs"???? I DON"T THINK SO, THIS COULD TURN OUT TO BE AN EVEN UGLIER NIGHTMARE THAN IT ALREADY IS!

PLESE RE-CHECK, SITES ARE NOT COMING UP

It is now going through s's with about 10 gigs left to restore.

According to the 99.9% SLA, will Hostgator issue a credit for the full month automatically?

Would CRON jobs have been cleared out by this restore and not set back up?

As long as its fixed no refund is really needed..........shit happens and while it is frustrating as hell when its down, now that the parts have been replaced we hopefully wont run into this sort of problem again.
