Are any other gator121 users seeing problems witn inbound email?
Yesterday I noticed no new emails and started investigating it. One of my checks was the cpanel system status. It was reporting the /usr volumne at 100%, so I submitted a ticket. About 50 minutes later, that was resolved. However, I was unable to check this system for about 6 hours. When I checked, email was still not working so I updated the ticket that email was not working. I got a response back about 5 hours later that email was fixed. I say that response about three hours later, and tested it. Still not working. I reported it and now four hours later, still no inbound email. So I approaching 24 hours of inbound email outage so far. So, has anyone else seen any problems with inbound email? |

This has now been resolved. I didn't get much of a response back from support other than to say the problem was with the way it was filtering my emails. I'm guessing when the /user disk space went to 100%, it corrupted the file or something as I was trying to update it at the same time. I had checked the filters file and it appeared okay to me.
My bigger concern is the lengthy response time. This is a second time in less than a week where I saw support taking over a day to resolve a problem that in the past normally took hours. I hope I'm not seeing a trend here. But again, now that the problem is fixed, I'm happy. And again, even with the long response time, this is still better than my experience with other hosting company's that often to 2-3 days, to even start to look at the problem. |
